This is what my daughter uses the solar panel for. She says you need a deep cycle battery; an inverter to connect from a 12 volt to a 110 volt to the TV. Need extra copper wire to connect controller to the battery and to any extra battery.

What wire gauge are the 20′ cables included with this kit? 12 days ago
They are 12 gauge wire, black and blue. It’s like a very heavy extension cord. There is more than enough to get to the charge controller from the roof to the floor inside. The wire is very adequate for the 10 amps the controller puts out. Fantastic charging system, keeps two 6 volt batteries filled. Fully charged by 10 in the morning after running the furnace all night.

It really does not matter. The long side has pre drilled holes, it is easier to mount on the long side.

you cant run an inverter directly off the charge controller. you need to hook up the charge controller to a battery, and then hook up your inverter directly to the battery. the charge controller is for charging 12v batteries, not for running an inverter

I am not certain, but I would think any that are 12 volt or less. I use the solar panel to maintain the batteries in my 5th wheel camper. It keeps my 4 batteries charged which allows me to use lights, water pump (Etc.). Don’t know if this helped at all.
